Day trips: Leiden Botanical Garden
Leiden is a lovely small Dutch city with many canals, old buildings, churches, cafes and a big botanical garden near the university legal faculty. Walk on cobblestone streets to get there and enjoy massive trees planted in 1850 of which pictures just don’t do Justice. Look out for the brass gold keys in pavements, symbolizing the keys Jesus have to St Peter and for the many walls where poetry is written
Water lilies of all different colours
Boat rides on the canals
This beautiful jungle of hanging exotic flowers stem from India.
Inside a huge water plant in the pond
So beautiful and living lily leaves!! My dream bed
Ladybird ladybird ….
Along one of the canals near the main grand cafe.
This leaf is about 2,5 x1,5 metres!!
Pretty pretty….
Cycle and pedestrian streets only
A poem wall example. Happy day tripping !
