Travel tips: Villajoyosa, Spain
This pretty little village Villajoyosa, on the Costa Blanco in Spain literally means “Joyous Village” or city. Easy to reach by tram, car ir bus from north or south Alicante it is definitely worth seeing. The old town hosts these colorful houses and the inner streets the same, with interesting murals. It is all built in a little hill with tiny avenues going downwards to the seas.
The city has some old walls where they controlled for pirates, a lovely little old church or two, some pretty parks and naturally hospitality places.
All. costa Blanca beach cities have palm tree clumps along the beaches and there is much luscious green and fauna all around.
The main avenue is also palm tree lined
Really quaint well kept old centre
These two giant murals face each other. The lady came as an answer to the man.
This old fishing village has certain long narrow internal streets where the fishing ropes and nets used to be mended as one could lay out the ropes in length.
The church is on top of the hill behind part of the city walls and further on is a huge bridge but a dry river underneath, between the cliffs, but with lovely trees and vegetation.
I get so excited when I see orange tree lined avenues. So unique and Spanish! As well as all the palm trees and beautiful round roof tiles.
