Spring fresh days past bright yellow fields of rapeseed brought us off route to the fabulous castle of Anholt. About 1 hour from the Dutch German border lies this oasis of a hotel in medieval castle setting with the nicest parking lot I have ever seen!
The castle is actually a hotel, Park Hotel so you can stay there. Or enjoy tea on its verandah overlooking the water and gardens or buy entry to the gardens for 10 euro, visit its art museum and amble to your heart's
content through green lavish scenery, flowers and statues whilst walking the perimeter of the castle's moat.
